All Diamond Mind season disks and greatest teams disks took full advantage of the features in the Diamond Mind Baseball game at the time those disks were first released. In some cases, we have improved those disks to take better advantage of new game features, new historical data, and/or improvements in our research methods. You can upgrade season disks or greatest teams disks to the current editions for $5 each plus shipping and handling. (This price does not apply to upgrades of the All-time Greatest Players Disk.) Eligibility You are eligible for the upgrade price if you purchased that season from Diamond Mind at any time since we began taking orders on September 1, 1995. We have a complete record of all season disk purchases, so we can easily check your eligibility for the upgrade price on any particular disk. Free upgrades Anyone who purchased a season disk or greatest teams disk in the six months prior to the release of an updated version of that disk is entitled to a free upgrade to the new version. You can request a free upgrade by phone (800-400-4803, 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri), email (DiamondMnd@aol.com), or by ordering a season disk upgrade through this store. If you order upgrades through this web store, the order form will include a $5 charge for each season, whether or not you are eligible for a free upgrade. Before charging your credit card, we will check your eligibility and automatically deduct the upgrade fee for any free upgrades you are entitled to. Automatic conversion We have always tried to protect your investment in our season disks. You do not need to purchase a season disk upgrade just to use an older disk with a newer version of the Diamond Mind Baseball game. New versions of the game automatically convert disks from at least the three previous formats. For instance, version 8 reads season disks in formats as far back as version 5. That means you can continue to use any season disk purchased from Diamond Mind since 1995 without paying upgrade fees. In other words, it makes sense for you to purchase an upgrade only if we have made substantial improvements to a season disk in the time since you purchased that disk.
